Believer’s Baptism: Explained In Seven Biblical Metaphors by J. Elton Kolb

Believer’s Baptism: A Resource Book Utilizing A Multi-Metaphor Approach to Baptismal Instruction (Dissertation) by J. Elton Kolb

The purpose of this project was to create a resource that will provide a guide for church leaders toward a multi-metaphor approach to baptismal instruction. The design for this project was to conduct an online survey assessment by a panel of experts who reviewed the resource. The panel found that the resource utilizes and explains a multi-metaphor approach to the many and various meanings of baptism found in scripture which have been part of a multivalent understanding and practice of baptism throughout church history. The resource is useful where the goal of baptism is spiritual formation.
